Steven D. Beck - President

Steve and his wife, Jenny, are the third-generation owners of Stocker Construction Company. Steve joined the company in 1986, bringing with him a dedication to service that is now the hallmark of Stocker Construction. This customer focus has ensured a base of repeat clients for Stocker Construction, as well as for the other companies Steve and Jenny operate.

A strong believer in community service, Steve was elected to the Webster Groves City Council and served from 1996 to 2000. He serves on the Westborough Country Club Board of Governors, the Webster Groves-Shrewsbury Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Webster Groves Presbyterian Church Board of Elders. Each year, the Beck companies support the Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, Make A Difference Day and other charitable projects.

In 2000, Steve and Jenny founded the Beck Foundation to help hard-working families and individuals who have experienced a set back in their lives.


Dan Close - Project Manager

Dan has built experience with a wide range of clients, from Charter Communications to Catholic Charities to Grubb & Ellis. He has been part of the Stocker Construction team since 2000 and is responsible for estimating and managing interior renovation projects.

Dan is a lector and eucharistic minister at his local parish, where he has also served on the board of education and the home and school association.


Marvin L. Schwieger - General Manager & Secretary

Before joining the Stocker Construction Company team in January 2000, Marvin worked on a diverse range of construction projects for major clients including Shell Oil, Southwestern Bell (SBC), BJC, Washington University's School of Medicine and St. Louis University.

Marvin started his career as a structural steel draftsman while attending Washington University at night. He then went to work for a St. Louis general contracting firm, managing highly specialized projects such as a hazardous waste facility for Shell Oil and a paint processing plant in Dayton, Ohio. As a vice president, he was responsible for managing a multi-year, multi-million dollar "Alliance Contract" with Southwestern Bell (SBC) which encompassed more than 200 projects annually, including highly technical switching facilities. Marvin also coordinated many major projects, such as HVAC and electrical upgrades, powerhouse renovations and neurology and oncology renovations, for BJC, the largest hospital system in the state of Missouri.

Marvin's personal interests are fishing, boating, Corvettes, and motorcycles. He is a member of the National Harley Owners Group and the Christian Motorcyclists Association.


Wanda J. Hill - Project Manager/Estimator

Since becoming part of Stocker Construction Company in 2000, Wanda has headed the team performing telecommunications renovation work under an alliance contract for SBC. In 2002, she managed over 200 projects and the team performed over $10 million in work.

Wanda has 15 years of experience, beginning her construction career as an estimator for a St. Louis general contractor. Her experience there included estimating and assisting project managers on projects as diversified as pedestrian bridges, hotels, telecommunications facilities, churches, laboratories and office renovations.

Wanda's personal interests include gardening, reading and participating in various programs at her church.
